Has a thunderstorm moved out of your area or passed just downwind of your location? THOR GUARD technology can notify you when it is safe to resume or when to hold off until the lightning potential has cleared your area. Even if the rain has stopped, lightning strikes often occur well behind a departing storm cell. THOR GUARD removes the “guessing game” associated with back strikes. In the real NWS radar imagery above, THOR GUARD is the smaller ring, indicating an example of our flexible range settings from .5 to 2.5 miles. Our Competition uses a larger range (larger ring above) because they depend on detecting lightning strikes after they have occured. When a far off storm throws a lightning back over your location, only THOR GUARD can warn you of lightning before it is too late! |
