A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CEO

Over fifty-three years ago the Thor Guard lightning prediction product was created.

In the last twelve years, firmware and software development progressed providing the technology necessary for Thor Guard engineers to sample the electrostatic flow of ions over 170,000 times a second. These samples provide a unique and powerful basis for what we do better than anyone in the world, detect and predict all serious weather conditions.

The lightning deaths and injuries in 2025 have surpassed any in the last seven years. According to reports, close to half of these lightning events were either bolts out of the blue or strikes coming from distant storms. These types of lightning strikes are unexpected because there is no local storm from which to take shelter. Many of the storms that produce these strikes are more than ten miles from the site of the incident.

Thor Guard is the only product that can predict the occurrence of these very
dangerous strikes. Lightning detection systems or networked lightning products are not technologically capable of providing advance warnings of a single, random strike. Thor Guard has been providing warnings of these strikes for over fifty years.
Don’t believe the hype from detection systems that say they can do what we do. Ask them how they can predict a strike from fifteen to fifty miles away from a storm.

You will not have to ask any other questions. If their answer doesn’t include the ionized atmosphere around the strike, then they can’t do it.

Brazil is the country with the most lightning strikes in the world, as it is the largest tropical country on the planet, with a hot and rainy climate. The annual average is 77.8 million lightning strikes, but in the last two years 280 million lightning strikes were recorded. Lightning strikes cause an average of 110 deaths per year in Brazil. Therefore, the use of the Thor Guard Lightning System is essential to ensure the safety of the golf course and other areas of the condominium such as the beach, equestrian, lakes, etc. Despite the distance from ThorGuard’s headquarters, we are very happy with the quality of the company’s equipment and remote support.
