THOR PC is an interactive computer program designed to
display and save lightning hazard data developed by THOR GUARD
lightning prediction systems. When interconnected by way of a DB9
cable with THOR GUARD through a computer terminal, THOR PC
may run "in background" until a preset warning level has been reached.
At this time notification is displayed by a blinking icon and the user
may then access their THOR PC program for more information.
The system has been deigned to save THOR GUARD data and
display it graphically at a later date. In this way the user
will have a permanent record of the time, duration and intensity
of the storm data. Saved data includes the Lightning Hazard Level
(LHL), Dynamic Index (DI), Field Collapse Count (FCC), and real
time event chronology.
THOR PC may also be utilized as an excellent teaching
tool to show energy migration during storm conditions. A
comprehensive "Help" menu is instantly available
to answer questions.
